Announcing the 2011 Smoky Mountain Region CFC
Dear Fellow Federal Employees,
Once again, it is time we embrace another season of giving through the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC).
This year’s theme for the 2011 CFC - "50 Years of Caring" - focuses on CFC’s 50th Anniversary. Established in 1961 as a
result of President Kennedy’s efforts, the CFC has become the world’s most successful annual workplace giving program.
The annual campaign gives federal employees an opportunity to make financial contributions to local, regional, national or
international charitable health and human service organizations.
In addition to TVA, all federal government offices in the Smoky Mountain region will participate in the campaign. The Smoky
Mountain Region CFC includes 26 counties in East Tennessee, two in North Carolina and one each in Kentucky and Virginia.
All Federal colleagues are encouraged to begin participating in CFC or if you have participated in the past, please continue your
contributions this year. Contributing to CFC is strictly a voluntary commitment. Your contribution is tax-deductible and payroll
deduction makes it easy to participate. Even $1 per pay period makes a big difference!
Peyton T. Hairston, Jr., Senior Vice President of Diversity & Labor Relations, TVA, and Johnathan Sitzlar, Supervisory Building Manager, GSA, will serve as co-chairs of the 2011 campaign. Robert Irvin, Senior Vice President, Strategy & Planning will serve as the CFC Executive Campaign Chair for TVA.
